Ashfield Baptist Church has served Sydney's inner west since 1884. We are a mixed bunch of people from many nations and all walks of life and seek to be a caring faith community sharing God's love. We seek to appoint a Senior Pastor who will provide spiritual and pastoral leadership for the congregation and meaningful outreach to the community.

The church's ministries include aged care through Ashfield Baptist Homes, long day care through Ashfield Baptist Childcare Centre, playgroup, Op Shop and Blessing Box (food pantry). We believe in the Priesthood of All Believers and the equipping of each member of our congregation to use their gifts in service. We value biblical preaching, but we believe that there has to be room for people to think and believe differently to the majority and yet be welcome in our midst. We support women in ministry and the inclusion of all ages in our ministry and our worship.
Candidates will be accredited (or in the process of accreditation) as Pastors, will have at least five years’ experience leading a congregation or specialist ministry area and can demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively.
Remuneration and conditions are commensurate with those recommended by the Baptist Association of NSW and ACT. The option of a newly renovated family manse will be available from late 2023.
