Position: Finance Coordinator
Church: Beachside Christian Church
At Beachside we believe we must honour God with all of the gifts he has given us, including our finances. A new place is available in our team for a person skilled in the area of financial administration. This person will work closely with our ministries, staff and leadership team to steward and distribute the tithes and love offerings of our community for God’s greatest glory. This is an opportunity to work as part of a team lead in spirit to see our church community grow and flourish.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
Being able to perform the financial and reporting functions required for the operations of the church e.g., bank reconciliations, end to end payroll, BAS, processing reimbursements and payment of accounts, budgeting, insurance renewals, liaising with Queensland Baptist banking services, regular reporting and coordination with the ministries within the church
1 day per week
Collaborating with the Finance Team in quarterly meetings
Ability to track one-off event income and expenses for reporting
In addition to the core responsibilities above, the Finance Co-ordinator will have a passion to build our church community through fostering genuine loving, caring Christian relationships.
The successful candidate will display these qualities:
- Must be a mature and growing believer with exemplary Christian Character
- Committed to the mission, vision, values, doctrine, and direction of Beachside Christian Church
- Able to meet requirements to become a member of Beachside Christian Church.
- Must be a team player
- Must be competent with bookkeeping and administration
- Must have a blue card.
- Must have experience / willingness to work with volunteers and ministry teams
