Position: Kids Ministry Coordinator

Rockhampton Baptist is a growing community with many families engaged across the life of our Church. With an awareness of the importance our young people have in how God is leading our Church now, and into the future, the Church family has provided full support for recruitment of a newly established paid position  with our kids ministries - a Kids Ministry Coordinator to support the existing volunteer teams within our Creche, Sonshine Kids, and Kids 4 Christ (0 – 11 years) ministries.

As outlined in the application pack, the Kids Ministry Coordinator is a paid part-time position that will be integral in the continued development of the vision for our ministry to kids and families through supporting delivery of ministry, identification of curriculum, coordination of training, and facilitation of events that prioritise our young people.

In addition to the information outlined in the position description for the Kids Ministry Coordinator role, applicants are requested to address the following selection criteria as part of the recruitment process. A copy of your resume with updated referees must also accompany your application.

Selection Criteria
In submitting your application, please review the associated position description and respond to the following selection criteria to demonstrate your experience, skills, and abilities relevant to the role:
1. Share with us your heart for kids ministries, and how you feel God has prepared you for this role.
2. Provide details of your qualifications and / or experience relevant to the role, especially in coordinating a team.
3. Outline circumstances and / or experiences where you have demonstrated your ability to manage resources to ensure competing priorities can be achieved in the desired timeframes.
4. Give examples of how you have demonstrated your ability to work independently on tasks, as well as lead a team to achieve a goal.

Application Process
Applications for the Kids Ministry Coordinator role must be submitted by 4:00pm on Monday 3 October 2022. Applications can be submitted electronically to, delivered as a hardcopy to the Church Office (Attention: Church Council), or posted to PO Box 9865 Frenchville Queensland 4701.

All applications received on or before the above mentioned day and time will be reviewed and short-listed. Short-listed applicants will then be invited to attend an interview (either in-person or via video conference), prior to an applicant being offered the position following ratification from a subsequent Members’ Meeting as per the constitution of Rockhampton Baptist.
